Nanotechnology is changing EVs, Spacecraft, and Even Wearable Tech
Ric Edelman: I love talking about innovations that are going to radically improve our lives. And to do that, we often look to science fiction. I'm a big fan of all kinds of sci fi movies, everything from Star Trek to STAR WARS to all the Marvel Comics series and DC Comics. All that stuff's really cool and fun, isn't it? Who's your favorite superhero? One of my favorites - I think all of us would agree one of the most popular, is the Black Panther. Well, guess what? Researchers are now developing a power suit that's as strong as steel, lighter than aluminum, and provides power just like the Black Panther's suit. The suit is made of layered carbon composite material. It stores a super capacitor battery designed at the nanoscale level. The applications include electric vehicles, spacecraft, airplanes, drones and, yes, wearable tech. Wakanda forever is going to be everywhere and it's going to be really fun.
