Heart Attack? Don’t Call 911; Call A Drone
Neighbors Save Man’s Life in Sweden with Quick Delivery of a Defibrillator
Every week here on The Truth About Your Future, I'd like to bring you some of the latest examples of the latest research and development innovations that are coming from scientists all around the world demonstrating how wonderful our future is likely to be. In Sweden last month, a 71 year old man was shoveling snow. He had a heart attack. A neighbor attempted CPR while another neighbor called 911. Guess who showed up within minutes? Not an ambulance. A drone, carrying an automated external defibrillator. Quick instructions by the 911 operator told the neighbors what to do. And by the time the ambulance arrived, those neighbors had stabilized the guy's heart, saving his life. The Swedish company that makes those drones says they've been used 12 times so far, 11 successfully. And that's why I like to talk about exponential technologies every week here on the program.
